Pre IDWeek Course: "Optimised dosing of antibiotics - understanding PK/PD, clinical breakpoints, and therapeutic drug monitoring"

Recently got your abstract accepted or planning to attend IDWeek in October 2023 in Boston, United States? Consider attending our IDWeek pre-course co-organized by the PK/PD study group of ESCMID (EPASG) and ISAP. This course presents and summarizes currently available knowledge on the PK/PD of commonly used antibiotics, strategies for setting clinical breakpoints, individualized dosing, and therapeutic drug monitoring. The aim is to provide participants with insights that can be used to optimize antibiotic therapy for different patient groups, infection sites and pathogens. Further, state of the art and innovative approaches for antimicrobial drug development will be highlighted.
